World grain and food prices have risen with the beginning of Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Factors of rising prices in Ukraine include inflation and logistics costs due to destroyed roads.

Anyway, Ukraine will be able to meet domestic food needs, but it will become more expensive to transport products.

"There will be bread in Ukraine. Farmers are fulfilling their strategic task. They are working on a sowing campaign, taking care to sow the fields with crops that will be needed to provide food for the population and the army. However, the process of access to products has deteriorated due to hostilities, so food prices will rise slightly. Even before the war, prices for energy, gas, fuel and lubricants rose, and with its beginning, the logistics chains became very complicated - destroyed bridges and roads. Currently, the products are delivered by bypass roads, which increases the cost of transportation," said Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian AgriCouncil, during the national telethon.

Inflation is added to the factors of rising food prices.

"We should also not forget about the price positions for food, the impact of inflation in Ukraine, which has increased with the advent of war. It is possible to predict an increase in food prices in Ukraine by at least 20%," Denys Marchuk added
