The law, which allows for the temporary suspending of loan obligations of farmers from frontline and temporarily occupied territories, has not yet been signed by the President of Ukraine. This was announced by Denys Marchuk, deputy chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council.

"We are talking about farmers who have been developing their businesses for 20-30 years and have lost everything. In addition, they are under pressure from private and state banks. At the same time, the occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories are creating numerous mechanisms to bring people back. But our farmers remain loyal to Ukraine and have no intention of returning to the occupied territories. That is why the state should not just express concern, but demonstrate patriotism in practice — by adopting clear legislative decisions," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council.

The necessary bill, which has already been approved by the parliament (№ 12148 at the time of voting) and after being sent for signature, it received a new number — 4043-IX.  The signing of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Section ”Final and Transitional Provisions“ of the Civil Code of Ukraine Regarding the Specifics of Lending and Financial Leasing During Martial Law” has been delayed for more than three months.

“The UAС has repeatedly raised this issue during all our meetings and consultations, including during the field meeting of the Agrarian Committee in Zaporizhzhia region. Many farmers gathered there, and they emphasized the importance of this issue,” emphasized Denys Marchuk.
