Oleksandr Mazurov, a member of the UAC from the de-occupied Velyka Komyshuvaha village near Izium in Kharkiv region, is waiting for land to be demined and is looking for support with equipment and grain from his agricultural friends. In March 2022, the Russian military destroyed warehouses, damaged tractors, and mined the fields of his farm when there was a battle for the village. He told journalists of the Suspilne TV channel about this.

"The warehouse had 400 tons of sunflower seeds and almost 700 tons of wheat left, and everything is gone. For 15 years we worked from morning to night, we did everything here. And when we arrived and saw all this, I was just crushed. It was very hard to look at this," said Oleksandr.

Last year in March, Velyka Komyshuvaha, which is located 20 kilometers from Izium, was on the front line. There were battles for the village.

"A lot of shells hat: mines, BM Grads and BM Uragans, we had everything here," said the farmer.

Before the war, the company cultivated 440 hectares of land in the territory of community. They grew wheat, sunflower, and corn. Now the fields are mined, the grain is destroyed, and nine of the 11 tractors and combines need to be repaired.

"We were afraid that there would be a hit into one place and everything would burn down, so we drove the equipment to our employees. Our employee lived here. We thought we would save something, but unfortunately, there was a direct hit and everything burned down," says Mazur.

According to preliminary estimates, the company's losses amount is about four million dollars.

The farmer has already contacted sappers from the State Emergency Service. To start restoring the farm, he needs to clear at least part of the fields from mines.

"We are standing in line to get help with demining, and we plan to sow about 200 hectares of winter wheat this fall. We need about 40-45 tons of wheat. The Ukrainian Agri Council promises to help," said Oleksandr.

Fellow farmers also promised to help with machinery, he said: "We did everything for the children, of course. I will rebuild everything, it will be even better, I will have something to pass on to my son."
