Mykola Ratushnenko, a member of the UAC and the Chairman of “Ratushnenko” AE from Odesa region notified that some unknown people buried agricultural machinery at his farm. Three Belarus-920 tractors and one T-150K tractor burned down. The total cost of losses is over UAH1.5 million.

An arson was at night. According to the farmer, his fellow villagers told him about it over the phone. The farmer called the fire department, and in the meantime he and the guard on their own tried to put out the flame.

"We have surveillance cameras at the brigade. The recording shows two strangers with canisters sneaking up on our equipment, pouring it on and setting it on fire. I think, there were people who knew what to do. Everything was worked out perfectly: they did not act chaotically, but in a coordinated manner - they diligently and slowly poured the equipment. In addition, the mixture was most likely special. On iron or rubber, ordinary gasoline burns and evaporates quickly. And there it burned well. After the arson, they looked at the fire for a while, added the mixture to the equipment and ran towards the village - there was a bypass road. The camera shows they were picked up by a car and for another 10 minutes they stood and watched everything was on fire,” the victim said.

Instead of the lost equipment, they had to buy a new one, because the work at the field continues. Although, the farmer admits, the funds were planned for the purchase of fertilizers - they hoped that fertilizers would become cheaper in winter. Mykola Ratushnenko says he does not know who to suspect at the moment. He had no conflicts with anyone.

The UAC appealed to the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, with a request to facilitate the investigation of the case as soon as possible, so that guilty of the crime could be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
