The UAC Andrii Dykun represented the Ukrainian agricultural sector and the Ukrainian Agri Council in Washington DC at the Summit on Ukraine Support.

The event brought together about 500 participants, delegations from 47 states, lobbyists, politicians, military and experts to discuss comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.

"Among the participants of the Summit, there are a large number of representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora, but what is surprising and inspiring is that there are many opinion leaders among Americans who have nothing to do with Ukraine, but they actively support us and call themselves Ukrainians by vocation. It is an incredible honor for me to represent the UAC at such an event and talk about our continued support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Everyone was inspired by the example of the UAC members in supporting Ukraine," said Andrii Dykun.

A series of meetings were held in Washington DC with congressmen and their representatives.

"I have learned from my own experience that American politicians listen to their constituents, and their constituents, in the majority, call on Congress to take decisive action to support Ukraine and have a significant impact on congressmen. I had extremely interesting and productive meetings with Republicans representing agricultural states such as Minnesota, Ohio, Illinois, and Oregon. The congressmen I talked to assured me of their support for our country, and since I represented the agricultural sector and mostly talked about this industry, they advised Ukrainian farmers to communicate more with their American colleagues, because these are their voters and the voice of farmers is important to American politicians," said the UAC Chairman.

Andrii Dykun thanked for the assistance that Ukraine receives through USAID programs and projects jointly implemented with USAID (AGRO) to restore the agricultural sector.

He also emphasized the importance of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and providing them with the necessary equipment to ensure the security and operation of ports and demining: "I emphasized the need for assistance in demining, because this is also the work of the agricultural sector and ultimately the support of our country's economy. At each meeting, I told them how our farmers fight for Ukraine every day in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and constantly help our defenders with equipment. Americans are impressed and concerned by all this."
