Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine Lee Jung Gu visited the Ukrainian Agricultural Council (UAC) and discussed possible ways of cooperation between our countries in the agrarian and food sectors.

The parties discussed possible directions of cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources and equipment for vegetation in order to deepen bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea.

So, Mr. Ambassador shared his experience with the heating of livestock complexes. He devoted his active attention to discussing the latest technologies of energy efficiency and alternative energy, noting the importance of building biogas plants.

During the meeting, Mr. Li Jung Gu noted that the Republic of Korea will consider the possibility of opening the market for Ukrainian beef, as well as co-operation in the field of dairy exports. These talks will form the basis for a road map of cooperation between our countries.

Also, Mr. Li Jung Gu visited the Ukrainian Agricultural Lyceum (UAL), created on the basis of the UAC, got acquainted with the domestic education system and provided his recommendations for its improvement.

According to the results of the meeting, the parties agreed next month to prepare a detailed action plan on cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea in terms of technology exchange and expansion of foreign trade in meat and dairy products.
