Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC), took part in the Third International Conference dedicated to exploring Ukraine’s future in the context of its role in the global labor market, human capital recovery, and the formation of next-generation professions, organized by KIBIT.

During the event, he presented the “Agrosphere” educational course — a nationwide project for students in grades 8–11 aimed at introducing schoolchildren to the modern agricultural sector, innovative technologies, and agricultural professions.

The course was developed based on U.S. experience, at the initiative and with the support of the UAC and the Association of Milk Producers (AMP), by methodologists of the NGO SvitOsvit. A full set of educational and methodological materials has been created for its implementation: curricula, student textbooks in two parts, and teaching guidelines for educators, all approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In addition, programs and materials for the subject “Land of Ukraine” for grades 9–10 have been developed.

The UAC and the SvitOsvit methodological center have been developing and promoting the course for more than six years. During 2022–2025, more than 5,000 students successfully completed it. In the current academic year, “Agrosphere” is implemented in 200 educational institutions, where it is studied by more than 4,000 students across 19 regions of Ukraine.

“We are shaping a new generation of professionals for the agricultural sector — people who will work with technology, innovation, and global markets. This is an investment not only in education but also in the future of Ukraine’s economy,” emphasized Denys Marchuk.

According to him, the Ukrainian Agri Council plans to scale up the project. During the next academic year, the course is expected to be introduced in 500 schools, and the number of students involved is projected to increase to 15,000.
