On July 10, deputy head of the Ukrainian Agricultural Council (UAC) Denis Marchuk met with agrarians of the Gusyatinsky district of the Ternopil region, during which the farmers commended the legislative activity of the UAC.

Agrarians welcomed the adoption by the Council of important bills №8121 on counteraction to raiding (in the first reading) and №6049-d concerning the consolidation of land (as a basis and in general).

At the same time, agricultural producers have expressed the hope that at the next meeting deputies will support the bill number 6527-d on agricultural co-operation, the adoption of which will positively affect the activities of small and medium-agrarian businesses. This bill provides the cooperative with the right to receive and distribute profits, exempts its members from double taxation and opens small and medium-sized farmers access to credit.

Agricultural producers also discussed the problems of the existing system of state support, taxation of the agrarian sector and land issues.
