The First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative, established within UAC, established cooperation with leading traders of petroleum products and delivered to its members more than 7,000 cubic meters of high-quality diesel fuel in 2020.
“In 2020, our cooperative set the task of introducing the supply of diesel fuel for cooperative members. And we succeeded. We’ve signed a direct contract with one of the Belarusian companies to continuously deliver high-quality fuel to farmers next year,” executive director of the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative Oleksandr Buiukli said.
In order to ensure clear logistics and uninterrupted supply of fuel to agricultural producers from direct importers, the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative bought an exclusive fuel truck this year. 33,000 liters of fuel can be delivered to agricultural enterprises. The cooperative plans to further expand its fleet.
At the same time, despite the crisis times and difficult weather conditions, in 2020 the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative managed to sell more than 250,000 tons of grain and purchase 22,000 tons of mineral fertilizers.
Into next year, the agricultural cooperative has ambitious goals - the development of the cooperative movement in Ukraine.
"We have finally made the law on agricultural cooperation work in Ukraine. This is one of the most important achievements of the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative and the UAC for 2020. It is very important that the law allows agricultural producers-legal entities to unite. Now we have bigger goals - to increase the number of members of our cooperative and to make the cooperative work better in Ukraine. We will continue to buy mineral fertilizers and fuel, sell grain and oilseeds, work to increase volumes, and so on. Because the main task of the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative is to increase the profitability and competitiveness of agricultural producers," Oleksandr Buiukli summed up.
The main information:
The First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative is a multifunctional servicing agricultural cooperative. It was established within the UAC in March 2017. Nowadays it unites 74 small and medium-sized farms from 12 regions of Ukraine with a total land bank of over 200,000 hectares.
This kind of consolidation has no equivalents in Ukraine; it will give farmers the benefits of a large holding combined with higher efficiency and manageability.
