The delegation of the Board of UAC, consisting of its chairman, Andriy Dykun, and his deputies, Mikhail Sokolov and Denis Marchuk, along with agrarians, today and tomorrow is visiting Lithuania and Estonia. The purpose of the visit is to take over the experience of carrying out the land reform, which has already taken place in these countries.

Today, the afternoon was full of meetings with deputies of the Lithuanian Sejm in Vilnius. The most important of them - meeting with the chairman of the Sejm’s Agricultural Committee Andriejus Stančikas and his deputy Kazis Starkyavychus.

Lithuanian parliamentarians urged Ukrainians not to rush to open the land market. They advised not to sell land to foreigners. They also pointed to the risks of opening a land market for legal entities, because despite the democratic European legislation, "schemes" work due to legal entities.

"The most important thing is to take care of the land. I want not to make the mistakes we made. You need to learn from the mistakes made by neighbors. The land is the main resource if it is sold to other countries, then over time you will realize that this was a very big mistake," told Andriejus Stančikas, the chairman of the Lithuanian Parliament's Agrarian Committee.

Also, there is planned a meeting with farmers and specialists of the Lithuanian Agricultural Advisory Service and a trip to the center of agricultural equipment of "DOJUS AGRO" CJSC.

Tomorrow our farmers and representatives of UAC will visit the Ministry of Agriculture in Tallinn (Estonia), whose officials will share Estonian experience in land reform and tell about the development of the agricultural sector of the country. A visit to the Saue Parish community is also scheduled, where local government reform issues will be discussed with the community leaders.
