UAC appealed to acting Minister of Agrarian Policy Olga Trofimtseva requesting to intervene in the situation surrounding the allegations of the cooperative FUAC (First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative) in allegedly falsifying certificates of origin of fertilizers and evasion of payment of compensation for the import of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine. Acting minister promised to study the situation and apply to the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.

"We ask you: 1. To check the circumstances outlined in this application. 2. To take measures to ensure the uninterrupted supply of mineral fertilizers to agricultural commodities at marketable, reasonable prices, including at the expense of their import. 3. To appeal to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with the requirement to verify the legality of the investigative actions conducted within the framework of criminal proceedings №12019230040000561 of 21.02.2019 and to eliminate the revealed violations of the law", - the statement reads.

Let's remind that yesterday, employees of the investigation department of the Kherson Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson region carried out searches at the broker of FUAC - LLC "PKV "Avilan". Lawyers explain that conducting searches by police is illegal.

The head of the FUAC Alexander Buyukli denied the assertion of the Kherson police that the cooperative allegedly does not have the originals of fertilizer certificates. All originals for imported fertilizers have been submitted for inspection, and FUAC is waiting for results.

Such actions are aimed at forcing farmers to buy fertilizers exclusively from the Ostchem group of companies, which, in the domestic mineral fertilizer market, hold a monopoly position and, using their position, artificially inflate the prices of fertilizers on the domestic market.
