The Ukrainian Agricultural Council (UAC) within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Forum appealed to Andriy Pavelko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Budget, with proposals on improving the state support programs for the agrarian sector for the next year proposed by the Government in the draft State Budget-2019 .

In their official appeal, the agrarian associations called on the head of the committee to comply with their requirements and to prevent the adoption of the State Budget for the next year in the editorial board, which duplicates the mistakes of the current year. After nine months of the work of this year's mechanism of state support of the agrarian sector, a little more than 10% of the allocated 6.3 billion UAH was used, which proves the complete inefficiency of the approved programs.

"We ask you, dear Andriy Vasilyevich, and the members of the Committee headed by you at its meeting, where will be considered the proposals of the people's deputies of Ukraine, as well as during the consideration of the draft Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2019” in the first reading, to support Ukrainian farmers and not to approve the approval of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2019 with norms that take into account the interests of only oligarchic groups", - the official statement says.

In particular, farmers are urged to return the program of "quasi-accumulation" of VAT with correction of mistakes made in 2017, increase the amount of allocated funds in the direction of cheapening loans, to expand the list of agricultural machinery and equipment to be compensated, and much more.

A detailed and reasoned list of requirements for reflecting the amounts proposed to be allocated in each direction will be presented on Tuesday, October 16, at a press conference on the topic: "Fair mechanism for the distribution of state support to the agrarian sector: myths and reality".
