As of October 26, Ukrainian farmers harvested 9.5 million tons of sugar beet.

Sugar beets are dug from an area of ​​197 thousand hectares (71%) with an average yield of 483 c/ha.

In addition to harvesting, an autumn sowing campaign takes place. Thus, farmers sowed 6.9 million hectares of winter grain crops (96%), with an estimated area of ​​7.2 million hectares. In addition, winter rape was sown at 1.0 million hectares with a projected area of ​​888 thousand hectares (115%).

Ivano-Frankivsk region completed the harvesting of sugar beet. The yield is high - more than 550 centners per hectare. But this year beet grows only to 1.1 thousand hectares.

Agrarians of Khmelnitsky dug 68% of sugar beets. 1,0 million tons of sugar beets from the area of ​​20,7 thousand hectares with an average yield of 50,0 tons / hectare were dug up. Five sugar factories in the region have processed more than 600 thousand tons of sugar raw materials and produced 75 thousand tons of sugar.

Agrarians of Cherkasy region dug 387 thousand tons of sugar beets. According to the latest data, sugar beet harvesting from the area of ​​7.8 thousand hectares, which is 56% of the sown area, at a yield of 49.5 t/ha continues to be harvested in the region.

Farms of the Ternopil region collected sugar beets with an area of ​​17.5 thousand hectares (52% of the area planted). The gross duty is 861 thousand tons, which is 230 thousand tons more than in 2017, the yield is 492 thousand tons per hectare.
