The agrarian sector, as well as any other sector of the Ukrainian economy, needs to be changed today. Relying on the experience and vision of its participants and experts, the Ukrainian Agri Council has developed its own strategy for the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex.

Thus, given the significant gap in the level of state support between Ukraine and the EU and OECD countries, Ukraine needs to focus as much as possible on increasing competitiveness in world markets. To do this, it is necessary to ensure the development of the most effective forms of agricultural production, which provide the highest profitability of 1 hectare of agricultural land in use.

Tasks to be implemented for the development of agroindustrial complex:

- state support should be aimed at stimulating agricultural enterprises that provide the highest level of value added per hectare of land in use, regardless of their size;

- state should ensure levels of "rules of the game" for all market participants, including the same tax burden;

- it is necessary to lower prices for mineral fertilizers in the domestic market;

- it is also necessary to reduce the cost of logistics;

- and, of course, to ensure the development of agricultural co-operation.
