Agribusiness representatives who kept grain at the elevators of the agro holding "Agroinvestgroup" in Odesa region will demand reimbursement of damages for lost products in court. This became known during a meeting between the representatives of the Department of Economic Protection and the Main Investigation Department of the National Police with the agricultural producers whose grain was removed from the elevators.

According to the National Police, currently, farmers have to submit to the police statement declaring that they are victims and prepare all necessary documentation confirming the amount of damages: consignment notes, contracts, acts on shipment, delivery and storage of products. After that, farmers who have suffered damage will prepare a civil lawsuit in a criminal case. At the end of the investigation, this case will be referred to the court.

Law enforcers do not specify the amount of losses incurred and do not announce how much grain was taken from the elevators. However, according to preliminary data from representatives of agribusiness, the loss of small and medium-sized agricultural producers is more than 40 million dollars. At the same time, the mentioned amount does not take into account losses of farmers because of the failure of Agroinvestgroup to fulfill its financial obligations for grain storage and does not include losses of large agricultural holdings.

Thus, the problem situation has now developed in Berezovsky, Bilgorod-Dnistrovsky, Izmailsky, Rauhovsky, Aliyagsky, and Zaplazky elevators. The total capacity of these elevators is more than 300 thousand tons.

According to unconfirmed information of a number of agrarian enterprises, the management of the Agroinvestgroup company, which is on the verge of bankruptcy, did not reach out on February 1, and removed about 90% of its products from elevators.

According to Alla Stoyanova, a member of the UAC, who kept about 212 tons of wheat in the Aliyagsky and Izmailsky elevators, the problems with payment from the management of Agroinvestgroup were observed for a long time. However, two weeks ago, elevators did not stop paying for the products they shipped. At present, Agroinvestgroup's debt to her enterprice is more than UAH 1.3 million.

Law enforcement officials point out that the management of Agroinvestgroup is currently hiding. The group of companies "Agroinvestgroup" processes about 30 thousand hectares of land in the Odessa region. According to YouControl, the owner of the holding is Nikolay Kucherenko, the director is Andriy Fedyanin.
