Today, the leadership of the Ukrainian Agricultural Council met with Agrarians of the Konotop district. The main topic of the meeting was the theme of cooperation and activities of the cooperative of the FUAC.

According to the deputy head of the UAC Denis Marchuk, the cooperation allows to produce centralized purchases and thus significantly reduce their cost.

The heads of enterprises noted the importance of being competitive and the need for the development of a cooperative movement in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. It should be noted that during the year of operation the FUAC grew to 200 thousand hectares. Also it includes 69 enterprises from all over Ukraine.

The meeting also raised issues of taxation, an effective system of state support, anti-trader programs and the land market. Particular attention was paid to the training of personnel in agriculture; the Ukrainian Agricultural Lyceum presented a training program for tractor-mechanic, which starts from September this year. During 10 months of training, the UAL undertakes to release a trained employee for any agribusiness enterprise. The curriculum includes both the practical knowledge that the student gets directly from the companies of technology manufacturers and the two-week practice in Estonia, as well as the theoretical knowledge about the activities of the agrarian enterprise.
